SUPPORT THE NOFA FARMING EDUCATION FUND

The NOFA Conference attracts many people who are passionate about organic farming but don't have strong financial means. You can have an important impact in someone's life by making a donation to the NOFA Summer Conference Farming Education Fund (FEF).

Ways to donate to FEF - online during your registration, on the bottom of your registration form, or if you prefer, you can send a check made out to "NOFA Summer Conference" with the note. "FEF" (Mail to: NOFA Summer Conference, 151 Brooks Station Rd., Princeton, MA 01541).

Donate items to the teacup raffle -- Donate a sample of your goods or services to our Teacup Raffle, which benefits our Farming Education Fund. Suggested donations: gift certificates, product samples, books, tools, and services. Submit your donation on page 3 of the print registration form or on the online registration form. For info, contact Kate Kennedy at lysistrata125@gmail.com, or 617-866-8763. When you arrive at the conference, please bring your donation (with an optional business card for display) to the registration area.

Purchase tickets for the Teacup Raffle -- This year, the raffle highlights some fantastic products from our vendors, presenters, and other thoughtful donations. Includes a variety of books, gift certificates for services, local honey, natural products, and much more! Tickets can be preordered with your registration, or available for sale at the raffle table in the registration tent during regular registration hours (Friday 11 am - 7 pm, Saturday 7 am - 1 pm); and throughout the fair until raffle winners are drawn at 5 pm Saturday afternoon. Teacup raffle tickets are $1 apiece, or six tickets for $5.

APPLY FOR FUNDS

Deadline -- The FEF Scholarship deadline is August 3, 2013.

Purpose -- The NOFA Farming Education Fund (FEF) offers scholarships for adults and teens in need thanks to contributions from individuals and businesses.

Work Commitment -- We believe that a modest commitment by applicants shows their dedication to making use of this opportunity, so membership in a NOFA Chapter and a 4 hour work commitment are required to be eligible for awards of $100. Please note that each applicant must become a NOFA member in the state of their choice, or a MOFGA member, and is asked to pay a portion of the registration fee. Membership fees are not to be included in this scholarship award.

Partial Awards - NOFA SC will also extend partial awards to NOFA Members that are unable to commit to the 4 hour work commitment, according to funds available. NOFA Summer Conference committee will carefully review candidates for this scholarship and spread the donations as far as possible.

Contact - Please contact Christine at registration@nofasummerconference.org or call 508-572-0816 with any questions.
